A full refurbishment is proposed to this property in the form of a large ground floor extension, a partial first floor extension, front and rear dormers. The existing property exhibits an unconventional internal arrangement, and instead of attempting to work with the existing layout, the clients’ aim is to completely strip out the existing internals for a ‘clean slate’ approach to the design.

The proposed design relocates the staircase to a more central portion of the house thereby allowing the upper floor bedrooms easier access from a more central ‘core’. This also reduces the circulation area required and maximises the space utilised for usable primary space.
